FAQ Euchre scoring

Common table questions.

How do you score Euchre?

The makers score 1 point for taking three or four tricks and 2 points for taking all five. If the makers take fewer than three, the defenders score 2 points.

How much is a lone hand worth?

A maker who goes alone and takes all five tricks commonly scores 4 points. Taking three or four tricks alone still scores 1 point.

What happens when the makers are euchred?

When the makers take zero, one, or two tricks, the defenders score 2 points. A lone defender euchre can be worth 4 when your table allows it.

What is a super euchre?

Some groups award 4 points when the makers take zero tricks. It is a house-rule variation, so this scorekeeper keeps it off by default.

Do you play Euchre to 10 or 11?

North American Euchre usually plays to 10. British Euchre commonly plays to 11, and some groups use 15. Change the target under House rules.

Does this Euchre scorekeeper track the dealer?

Yes. Add four player names in dealing order. The deal advances after every scored hand, Pass the deal moves it manually, and Undo moves it back correctly.
