Think like a basic-strategy player.

You do not need to memorize every square at once. Start with the patterns that appear most often, then use focused drills to fill the gaps.

Read the dealer first

Dealer 2 through 6 are vulnerable cards. With many stiff hands, let the dealer take the bust risk. Dealer 7 through Ace usually demand a more aggressive response.

Know the pair anchors

Always split Aces and eights. Never split tens or fives: stand on 20, and play a pair of fives like a hard 10.

Use the Ace

A soft hand cannot bust with one hit. That flexibility creates extra opportunities to hit or double, especially against weak dealer cards.
